Description
A delicious brownie trifle made with layers of chocolate brownies, whipped cream, and chocolate pudding.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 batch brownies (store-bought or homemade), cut into bite-sized squares
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 box (3 oz) instant chocolate pudding mix
- 2 cups cold milk
- Chocolate shavings or chopped dark chocolate (for topping)
Instructions
- Prepare the whipped cream: In a large mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract together until soft peaks form. It should be thick but still spreadable, like a soft cloud. Set aside in the fridge.
- Make the pudding: Whisk the instant chocolate pudding mix with cold milk for 2–3 minutes until it thickens. Let it chill for about 5–10 minutes to fully set.
- Assemble the trifle: Start with a layer of brownie pieces at the bottom of a large glass trifle bowl or individual cups. Follow with a layer of chocolate pudding, then a generous layer of whipped cream. Repeat these layers until the bowl is full, ending with whipped cream on top.
- Add finishing touches: Sprinkle with chocolate shavings or chopped dark chocolate for a beautiful, textured finish.
- Chill before serving: Let the brownie trifle chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours. This helps the flavors meld and gives it that perfect chilled texture.
Notes
- Before we dive into layers of chocolatey bliss, make sure your brownies are completely cool — this helps the layers hold together without melting the cream.
