Description

Delicious crispy fries made from small russet potatoes, perfect for a side dish or snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 67 small russet potatoes
  • 2½ tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ¼ tsp pepper

Instructions

  1. Slice the potatoes into ¼-inch thick rounds.
  2. Soak the rounds in a bowl of water for 20-30 minutes. Then, drain the water and dry the potatoes off with paper towels.
  3. Preheat the oven to 425°F.
  4. Toss the potatoes in the olive oil and seasonings.
  5. Spread the pieces out in an even layer on a large baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Do this in batches if needed.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes. Flip the fries. Then, bake for another 15-20 minutes until the fries are golden brown and crispy.

Notes

  • Ensure the potatoes are well dried before tossing them in oil for maximum crispiness.
  • For even cooking, try to slice the potatoes uniformly.
