Description

A rich and creamy pasta dish featuring ground beef and Parmesan cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 300 g ground beef
  • 250 g pasta (such as rigatoni or penne)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can of diced tomatoes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta:
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Prepare the Beef Sauce:
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic, sautéing until the onion is translucent. Add the ground beef to the skillet. Cook until browned, breaking it up into small pieces with a wooden spoon. Season with salt and pepper. If using, stir in the can of diced tomatoes and let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
  3. Make It Creamy:
Pour in the beef broth and heavy cream. Stir to combine. Allow the mixture to simmer gently, ensuring the sauce thickens slightly. Add the grated Parmesan cheese. Stir continuously until the cheese has melted and the sauce is creamy.
  4. Combine Pasta and Sauce:
Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the beef sauce. Toss to coat the pasta evenly with the creamy mixture. Let it cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  5. Garnish and Serve:
Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For added flavor, consider adding a pinch of red pepper flakes or a splash of Worcestershire sauce to the beef.
  • When cooking the pasta, save a cup of pasta water. You can use it to thin the sauce if it becomes too thick.
  • Feel free to add other vegetables like bell peppers or mushrooms to enhance the dish.
  • Ensure the pasta is not overcooked, as it will continue to cook slightly when mixed with the sauce.
