- 2 pounds Yukon Gold potatoes, peeled and cut into 1-inch chunks
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup heavy cream or milk
- 4 cloves garlic, minced (or roasted)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the Potatoes: Peel and chop Yukon Gold potatoes into uniform pieces. Rinse under cold water.
- Add Ingredients: Place potato chunks in the Instant Pot with minced garlic, salt, and enough water to cover just the top.
- Cook: Secure the lid and cook on high pressure for 10 minutes. Allow natural pressure release for 10 minutes before manually releasing remaining pressure.
- Mash: Carefully open the lid, drain excess liquid if necessary. Add butter and cream (or milk) then mash until smooth.
- Serve: Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.

- For a richer flavor, use roasted garlic instead of minced garlic.
