Description

A delicious creamy steak alfredo pasta dish that’s perfect for a romantic dinner or special occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ribeye steaks (about 8 oz each)
  • 300g fettuccine pasta
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta:
    – In a large pot, boil salted water and cook the fettuccine until al dente according to package instructions. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water and drain the rest. Set the pasta aside.
  2. Prepare the Steaks:
    – Season the ribeye steaks with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
    – Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
    – Add the steaks and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side for medium rare. Adjust time according to desired doneness.
    – Remove steaks from the skillet and let them rest.
  3. Make the Alfredo Sauce:
    – In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add butter.
    – Sauté the minced garlic in the butter until fragrant (about 1 minute).
    – Pour in the heavy cream and let it simmer for 2 minutes.
    – Gradually stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
    – Season with salt and pepper to taste.
    – If needed, add a little reserved pasta water until reaching the desired sauce consistency.
  4. Combine Pasta and Sauce:
    – Add the cooked fettuccine to the skillet with the Alfredo sauce.
    – Toss until the pasta is well-coated.
  5. Serve:
    – Slice the rested steaks thinly.
    – Serve the creamy Alfredo pasta on plates and top with sliced steak.
    – Garnish with chopped parsley.

Notes

  • Make sure steaks are at room temperature before cooking for even cooking.
  • Let steaks rest after cooking to retain juices.
  • Adjust the thickness of the sauce by adding more or less pasta water.
  • For a more robust flavor, add a splash of white wine before adding the cream to the sauce.
