Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a bundt cake pan thoroughly.
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
- Cream Butter and Sugar: In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy.
- Add Eggs and Vanilla Extract: Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the creamed butter mixture, alternating with buttermilk. Begin and end with the flour mixture. Mix until just combined.
- Fold in Sprinkles: Gently fold in the rainbow sprinkles, being careful not to overmix as the colors may bleed.
- Transfer to Pan: Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan and spread evenly.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Cool and Glaze: Allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then invert it onto a wire rack to cool completely. For the glaze, whisk together the powdered sugar and milk until smooth. Drizzle over the cooled cake, and top with additional sprinkles.
