Description

Delicious garlic shrimp served on toasted baguette slices, perfect as an appetizer!


Ingredients

  • 1 baguette, sliced into 1/2 inch rounds
  • 12 large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, combine the softened butter with minced garlic. Mix until well blended.
  3. Prepare Bread: Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet. Spread each slice with the garlic butter.
  4. Cook Shrimp: In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the shrimp and season with salt and pepper. Cook until just pink, about 2 minutes per side. Remove from heat.
  5. Assemble Toast: Place one shrimp on top of each buttered baguette slice. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley.
  6. Bake: Bake in the oven for about 5-7 minutes, or until the bread is toasted and the cheese is melted.
  7. Serve: Serve the shrimp toasts warm with a squeeze of lemon juice on top.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the garlic butter.
