- 1 baguette, sliced into 1/2 inch rounds
- 12 large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Prepare Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, combine the softened butter with minced garlic. Mix until well blended.
- Prepare Bread: Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet. Spread each slice with the garlic butter.
- Cook Shrimp: In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the shrimp and season with salt and pepper. Cook until just pink, about 2 minutes per side. Remove from heat.
- Assemble Toast: Place one shrimp on top of each buttered baguette slice. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley.
- Bake: Bake in the oven for about 5-7 minutes, or until the bread is toasted and the cheese is melted.
- Serve: Serve the shrimp toasts warm with a squeeze of lemon juice on top.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the garlic butter.
- Parsley can be replaced with basil or cilantro for a different taste.
- Ensure shrimp are dry before cooking to get a nice sear.
- Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best taste and texture.
