Delicious ginger-flavored macarons with a creamy buttercream frosting filling.
Ingredients

- 1 cup almond flour
- 1 cup icing sugar
- 3 large egg whites (room temperature)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tsp ground ginger
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tbsp unsulfured molasses
- 1/2 cup buttercream frosting (for filling)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a clean bowl, whip egg whites until frothy. Gradually add granulated sugar and beat until stiff peaks form.
- Sift together almond flour, icing sugar, ginger, and cinnamon in another bowl.
- Gently fold dry ingredients into whipped egg whites until just combined.
- Pipe small circles onto prepared baking sheets, leaving space between each.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes or until shells feel firm to the touch. Cool completely before filling with buttercream frosting.
Notes
- Make sure all utensils are completely clean and free of grease for best results.
- Let the macarons cool completely before attempting to remove them from the parchment paper.
