- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened (225g)
- 4 large eggs
- Zest and juice of 2 fresh oranges
- 1 cup powdered sugar (120g) for the glaze
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a round or oval cake pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until combined.
- In another bowl, cream softened butter and granulated sugar until fluffy; add eggs one at a time.
- Stir in freshly squeezed orange juice and zest until mixed.
- Gently fold in dry ingredients until just combined; pour batter into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
- For the glaze, mix powdered sugar with orange juice until smooth; drizzle over the cooled cake.
