- 4 cups corn kernels (fresh, frozen, or canned and drained)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon sugar (optional, adjust to taste)
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley or chives, chopped (optional for garnish)
Instructions
- If using frozen corn, thaw and drain. For canned corn, drain well. If using fresh corn, slice kernels off the cob.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter without browning it.
- Add the corn and cook for 4–5 minutes to enhance sweetness and flavor.
- Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and optional sugar.
- Pour in the heavy cream slowly and stir gently. Simmer for 3 minutes.
- Add the softened cream cheese and stir until fully melted and incorporated.
- Let the mixture simmer on low heat for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally until thickened.
- Garnish with parsley or chives and serve warm.
