Description

A delicious and crispy potato galette made with fresh herbs and Gruyère cheese.


Ingredients

  • 4 medium Yukon Gold potatoes (thinly sliced)
  • 1 cup fresh parsley (chopped)
  • 1 cup fresh chives (chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme (chopped)
  • 1 cup shredded Gruyère cheese
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 teaspoon salt (to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper (freshly ground)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Using a mandoline or sharp knife, slice the potatoes thinly and place them in a mixing bowl.
  3. Add the chopped herbs, salt, and pepper to the potatoes and mix well.
  4. Layer half of the potato mixture in a circular pattern on the prepared baking sheet, overlapping the slices slightly.
  5. Sprinkle half of the Gruyère cheese over the potatoes, then layer the remaining potatoes on top, followed by the rest of the cheese.
  6. Drizzle the melted butter over the top of the galette.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the potatoes are golden brown and crispy.
  8. Let cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, try adding garlic or a pinch of nutmeg.
  • Serve with a side salad for a complete meal.
